Do you vacuum first, or dust first?

Something I hadn't thought about for years. Now that you mention it, I remember waaaaaaay back that my home ec teacher said you should vacuum first because it stirs up dust and than dust after.

I don't seem to ever get both done on the same day.

That's odd, see I would dust first because that way all the dust falls to the floor and then you vacuum it up.

We have central vac system so the dust isn't stirred up when you vacuum, it all goes into the basement.

I suppose what you should really do is dust, then vacuum, then dust, then vacuum ...

I dust first as well. Then I vacuum or sometimes I just dust or sometimes I just vacuum...It seems like either way would be a vicious cycle...mmm...good question!

I don't like to dust and don't do it very often so if I do dust I have to vacuum next!
