So I just got the gecko behind my ear touched up. I'll post the before and after pictures. I really like the way it turned out and will probably enter it in the Atlanta Tattoo Convention.

Very cool! I've considered getting some ink near or behind my ears and would appreciate if you could share how you think they feel in that spot.

Thanks! Hmm, how do they feel. Well, it certainly is one of the more painful places. Also, it tickles because of the vibration. I recommend taking a pain killer before hand (but not an asprin based one 'cause the last thing you want to do is bleed more). The skin is thinner and it hurts for longer during the healing (feels almost torn or something). The other thing, is care is harder, you can't really cover it afterwards. I have found the key is keeping it moist. Oh, and the stuff on the tragus, gah that really, really hurt. My artist has a very light hand and that area, in front of my ear, felt bruised for a long time (still does actually-hasn't quite been a week).

I feel it was totally worth the pain, the discomfort, and all the other stuff to get it. What are you thinking about getting?

That's a really neat tattoo. I would have never thought to get one there. Plus, the gecko is cute too.
