I'm new as editor of Quick Cooking and this is my first time participating in a forum. It has been suggested that we play a game to break the ice. The Alphabet Game can be fun. Let's start with the topic, "pasta" (which can be a great help in Quick Cooking!) Each participant will post a type of pasta beginning with the next letter in sequence to the previous one.

We may have a few problems with some of the letters, so maybe we'll have to make up a few new names for pasta!

I'll post the first, starting with A

Agnolotti - round ravioli filled with meat

B Bowtie pasta

C - corkscrew

D - Ditaloni Rigati � Narrow tubes cut in short lengths and are best used in soups with beans.

E - Elbow Macaroni

f - fettucini

gnocchi ( not sure if thats how you spell it)

Ok, I'm totally cheating, but I honestly can't come up with any type of pasta that starts with "H," "I," "J" or "K." So here's...

L - Lasagne

Olive oil

I always use olive oil, a little, in the boiling water to prevent the past from clumping.

Pasta.........any pasta, a little more cooked than al dente
