I loved Murder on the Orient Express - the book and movie!

Yes, Murder on the Orient Express is one of my favorites, but I also liked the ingeniousness of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

Yes Lane, there are so many - hard to choose. Growing up in England there was a regular weekly series called the Agatha Christie Mysteries or Murders....they were fabulous.

Yes, and I think they're both ingenious in different ways, Mona! Frankly, I find And Then There Were None contrived because she was trying to fit the plot to the verse. Apparently she admitted that it was the hardest one to write, although I'm sure she enjoyed the process of plotting it.

I still say Ackroyd is my favorite, although it is more accurate to say it's only one of my favorites. Five Little Pigs, The ABC Murders and Cat Among the Pigeons are a few others I can think of besides Death on the Nile and 4:50 from Paddington.

Allyson, was it the series starring David Suchet? I absolutely adore him as Poirot, and I've refused to watch "Curtain" so far because that means acknowledging the last episode.

Do you know about Agatha Christie's Delicious Death Chocolate Cake? Jane Asher created the recipe for the 120th anniversary. I would looove to be able to bake it, and eat it too!

I found the recipe at the BBC when googling her name and Death by Chocolate Cake....the recipe is soooooo long - I will have to condense it...I had to scroll like 4 times to read it. lol

It contains tons of butter, sugar, chocolate, alcohol, more chocolate and sugar. It sounds divine!

Great choice of topic for this week. [i]Evil Under the Sun[/i] has a beautifully crafted crime as well, but [i]Orient Express[/i] and [i]Ackroyd[/i] are the most intriguing. So many to choose from. One of the things I love about Christie novels is how enjoyable they are, even when you know whodunnit and how.

Ooh, I can't wait till a quicker and easier version shows up on your site! Just don't condense the good stuff!

Evil Under the Sun is definitely in my top 10! Yes, they're very re-readable. I never start a summer holiday without a Christie. (Sometimes a winter one and spring one too. )
