Great article. More and more walkers are joining races. Many 5K's and an increasing number of half-marathons are walker friendly as long as you can maintain a certain pace (definitely not for casual strollers).

Last night I was going to go for a run, but was too tired to bring myself to even get to half speed so I ended up doing a personal 5K (3.1 miles) walk.
