Review of BHG "Do It Yourself" Magazine

I always enjoyed BH&G too and subscribed for years. I decided to cut back and I cut that one out. The old BH&G of my mother's time was a huge issue with great articles and plans on how to construct, garden, organize, cook, etc. I enjoy thumbing through it but I didn't find it helpful to me any more.

I will pick up specialty magazines like painting techniques etc.

Loved your great review of one of my favorite magazines! Seems like so many home & garden favorites bit the dust a while back - I'm thrilled to still be a DIY subscriber. I thought the painting info in this issue was fantastic. Seems we have similar tastes - I'm definitely a girl who likes to decorate with lots of color and thrift shop finds.
