Hello everyone. Can you come up with a Greek food related item based on a specific letter of the alphabet? I'll start this off :
A is for Albacore Tuna
B is next so get posting
I'm not so sure I've ever seen tuna on the menu at my favorite Greek restaurant, but i've sure seen Baklava.
Hello Frank, thanks for posting. Albacore Tuna was used regularly by the Ancient Greeks but there are some restaurants which serve this today.
I'm not saying they don't serve it, just that it wasn't one of the dishes offered at my local. (My fave restaurant gone after eating Chef Mike's food for more than 25 years.)
Can we be more specific with our Greek food choices? Like D for Dolmathakia or Dolmades? Because if I asked for either of these (or even a baklava), I'd likely be directed to a Greek eatery.
If I asked for cheese or tuna, I might get sent to the Acme market.
Guess we're up to 'E' & I'll stop in at ACME Grocers to get my eggplant & eggs for the:
Eggplant Moussaka
next: 'F'
Frank had already provided Dolmathakia & Dolmades; thus, I came back with a somewhat appropriate 'E'
Had a connection delay there for a second, oops.
