Should drug addicts be able to share their addiction issues at an AA meeting? It sounds like not a big deal but there are some folks out there who are adamant about keeping AA "pure". Read this article and let me know what you think.

Drug Addiction and AA

i like this article and i agree with Kathy. Addiction is addiction. Alcoholism is the "primary" illness. We all suffer from the same dis-ease. Frankly, those who object to drug addicts being at AA meetings need to get over themselves. 20 odd years ago the exposure to class A drugs and the like was practically non-existent. Alcohol is just a drug in a bottle. Just because it's legal hardly makes it superior.

Thanks, Chris for your words. If we all had to go to a different organization for all of our addictions, we wouldn't have time to do much else! No matter what our addiction we can only recover with steps and people who have been in our shoes. I will continue to help and support anyone regardless of the addiction. I think most of us would.
