Sadly eighteen endangered cranes kept at the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge near Crystal River, Florida, died Thursday night in the same storms that have killed approximately 19 people in Florida.

Last fall the 18 endangered cranes flew south to Florida from Milwaukee Wisconsin after learning how to migrate there by following an Ultralight aircraft.

That's good news. There should be more efforts on our part to protect endangered species because once they are gone, they are gone forever. A lot of animals have been driven to extinction in my country because of human abuse.
