Season's Greetings!

Would you like to try something new for the holidays, but feel that youre betraying tradition by doing so? Let go of traditions that you dont enjoy--and create your own! Say Yes To Your Own Holiday Traditions! is an article encouraging you to give yourself permission to let go of traditions that don't serve your needs--and intstitute ones that will!

Feel free to share your special traditions here, as well as any "risks" you might take to create your own special holiday this year.
Did anyone do anything different this holiday? Did you start a new tradition? I just made a roast on Christmas Eve (almost didn't in light of the Mad Cow stuff!), and then we ate Christmas dinner at my parent's house. We ended up opening all our gifts on Christmas Eve, except for the ones that were exchanged with my parent's and brother.

Unfortunately I couldn't celebrate together with my parents this year.
Awww. I bet that was tough. Do they live near you, or somewhere else?

They are like 25 minutes by bus from me
(or alternatively $11 by cab), so I guess it's pretty close. It's a different zip code, but we could walk there (was a real long walk though).
