Jesus...is Jim singing again? Tell me when he's gone.
I will be gone when Jesus takes me home.
Now we have been through the harvest
Winter has truly begun
Now we have walked in the chill of the night
We are waiting for, waiting for, for the saviour's day
Many have come from the valleys
Many have come from the hills
Many have started there journey home
To be with someone, with someone, on the saviour's day
Open your eyes on saviour's day
Don't look back or turn away
Life can be yours if you only stay
He is calling you, calling you, on the saviour's day
Joining the old and the young ones
Joining the black and the white
Meeting the need of the hungry is he
Will we ever remeber him on the saviour's day
Open your eyes on saviour's day
Don't look back or turn away
Life can be yours if you only stay
He is calling you, calling you, on the saviour's day
Here's to the god of the present (raise your glasses)
Here's to the god of the past (praise to the king)
Here's to the hope in the future he brings
We will sing to him, sing to him, on the saviour's day
Open your eyes on saviour's day
Don't look back or turn away
Life can be yours if you only stay
He is calling you calling you, on the saviour's day
On the saviour's day
On the saviour's day
He is calling you on the saviour's day
On the saviour's day (calling, calling, calling you)
On the saviour's day (calling, calling, calling you)
On the saviour's day (calling, calling, calling you)
Calling calling
Raise up your glasses, drink to the king (calling, calling)
Raise up your glasses, drink to the king (calling, calling)
Raise up your glasses, drink to the king (calling, calling)
THE MILLENNIUM PRAYER - 04/12/1999
3 weeks at #1 - 16 weeks on chart
Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
And forgive our sins
As we forgive each one of those
Who sins against us
And lead us not to the time of trial
But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom
The power and the glory
Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
And forgive our sins
As we forgive each one of those
Who sins against us
And lead us not to the time of trial
But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom
The power and the glory
Let all the people say Amen
In every tribe and tongue
Let every heart's desire be joined
To see the kingdom come
Let every hope and every dream
Be born in love again
Let all the world sing with one voice
Let the people say Amen
Let all the people say Amen
In every tribe and tongue
Let every heart's desire be joined
To see the kingdom come
Let every hope and every dream
Be born in love again
Let all the world sing with one voice
Let the people say Amen
christian music soothes my soul! i love listening 'em.
christian music soothes my soul! i love listening to it while meditating.
OK, while we're posting our own...
Here's the one I've about got ready to record.
It's called "Why Me" - but I lovingly refer to it as "The Whining Song." <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
[color:"purple"]Why Me?
(The Whining Song)
(verse 1)
Its that time of day again,
Time to be in Your word
Time to grow closer to You.
But I cant seem to keep my mind
On the verses or the Psalms
Because of the list of things to do.
You see the babys sick again,
And the car is broken down
And even though I know I should be praising You
All I can do is cry.
(chorus 1)
Why me?
What did I do to deserve this?
Why me?
Is this punishment for my sins?
Do You know that Im hurting?
Do You care that I cry?
Or do You sit up in heaven and just watch me try?
Why me?
(verse 2)
So I flip thru my Bible
Barely lookin at the words
just so I can say that I did
But the page falls on Luke
On a tale of forgiveness
And then I read the old story again
You see You sent Your only Son
and You led Him to a cross
and on Calvary He took my sins and He bled
and He suffered, and died for me
(chorus 2)
Why me?
What did I do to deserve this?
Why me?
How can I be worthy of this gift?
But You know that Im not,
And You gave it any way.
And to that theres only one thing I can say
(bridge)
Jesus had no faults of His own
He made no mistakes
He deserved no punishment
Yet He took my pride and He took my greed
And He died upon a tree.
(Sax solo)
(last chorus)
Why me?
What did I do to deserve this?
Why me?
How can I be worthy of this gift?
But You know that Im not,
And You gave it any way.
And to that theres only one thing I can say.
Why me, why me, why me?

That was truly beautiful Michelle sometimes i feel Why me? as well but when i think of the Saviour and his death on the cross and that by his strips we are all saved i feel better inside
