Did you know that May is National Foster Care Month? There have been many changes made in the foster care system, although we don't hear too much about it. However, great strides are being made to educate and inform people on the great need for foster parents; especially in the African American community.

Check out the latest article at the African American Culture site. There are some interesting statistics that I think would be quite interesting and informative. I encouraged you to keep reading; because there will be more articles on foster care, and what we can do as individuals to help reach a child, and save a life...forever.

Have you ever thought about becoming a foster parent or, giving time as a mentor to the many children in need? It's something to think about.

Have a blessed weekend. And, for all the mothers; Happy Mother's Day!! grin

I've always told myself that I wanted to become a foster parent and or adopt. But I'm a single of one. My son is disabled. I wonder how much that would count against me.
