I have been going back thru this parts of this book because I feel like I have gotten off track again. I love the things they list to encourage you to eat right. Has anyone gotten this book yet? This week has been rough for me. My 31st birthday was Monday, my fiance had to get an MRI to see if he needs back surgery (he doesn't, just needs physical therapy), my daughter turned 2 today (20th), and it is coming to the end of the term in college. So with all this stress, I haven't been eating like I did the past 3 weeks. I skipped breakfast 3 times this week and that is a big no no for people who binge eat like I was. I will do better next week!

I haven't gotten the book. I usually get breakfast in but when it's really busy at work, I somtimes miss lunch and as I write this, I'm eating a bag of chips..... I'll do better next week too. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You know what I have been doing for lunch? I have been buying those Healthy Choice meals from the grocery because they have been on sale forever now. The ones with the steak and vegetables are awesome! Everyone in the office raves about how they smell and a few of the ladies have been bringing them in too.

I have been taking cashews and peanuts to snack on. And if I am hit but a chocolate craving I get a 3 Muskateers bar because of the low fat and calorie content. My kids are about to drive me bonkers tho. The only vegies they will eat right now is corn and brocoli if the brocoli has cheese on it LOL

I'll only eat brocoli if it has cheese on it... lol. I usually try to eat pretty healthy but sometimes it's so hard.

Hi! I'm glad to see that you've discovered "Runaway Eating," my new book. Runaway Eating is a new term for out of control eating-related behaviors like food binges, dieting, purging or excessive exercise, and using these behaviors to run away from your problems. While these behaviors aren't severe enough to be considered "eating disorders," they sure aren't healthy eating either!

In the book, my co-author, Cynthia M. Bulik (a psychologist) and I (a dietitian) present an 8-point plan to help you get off the "diet-binge-compensate-hate yourself" merry-go-round and rediscover both your good health and your peace of mind.

If anyone would like to ask a question or make a comment about Runaway Eating, please feel free to post something in this forum or contact me through www.runawayeating.com. Thanks!
