I had started to exercise last year and I've lost a lot of weight so my New Year's resolution is to continue exercising at least 3-4 times a week. So far, I've been doing it

What exercise program are you following? I thought about getting a membership at a fitness center that is close to my home but it seems like they can get pricey. I walk a lot everyday but it doesnt seem to be working *smile*

Hi Jeanette,
I tried the gym but it's not my thing, I get really self concious working out in front of people and walking wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. So, I bought some tae bo dvds. I love it, it's fun so I want to do it and it's really melting the inches off. Plus, I can do it in the privacy of my own home and it's not that pricey, unless of course you allow the cases to gather dust. I've been alternating between the cardio and the flex.

Exercise is definitely my biggest goal for the year. I joined a gym in my office building so when my days aren't too crazy, I like to go in the afternoon and watch oprah Having it in my building means that I can't make excuses about the cold when i don't want to go! I am also trying to get organized this year. My mom gave me a staples gift certificate for Christmas so I decided to get a PDA. So far I am off to a good start, but we'll se how long that lasts...

My college has a fitness center that is free for us and the professors. It is always packed so that is my excuse LOL I am an organizational nut!!! I am one of the most organized people you would want to meet. Everything has its place and if it isnt there when i go back, I have a fit ahahahaha I don't use a PDA but i have a big wall calendar and a calendar for my purse.

Jeanette - that is great that you have a fitness center at your school. I miss the days of free workout centers. I used to have one of those huge wall calendars before the PDA. My big problem was that I had that, a smaller calendar, my online calendar, etc. That was why my mom decided to get the Staples gift certificate - I wrote everything down but in a million different places!

Raleigh,
I do that too, I have about 5 different calendars hanging around. Every year I promise myself that I will get more organized, never seems to happen, lol. Maybe I should get a PDA, I'd probably just leave it home though.

Hi Mindy,
I made myself the same promise this year. So far, I am actually off to a good start. I got that Palm PDA from Staples and so far, I have been great about using it and actually remembering to bring it with me. I just pack it up in my purse with my cell and wallet. I used to just carry around a ton of little notes that I'd write to myself but now once I actually write a note to myself, I see it again instead of losing it to the laundry fairies!

I like the idea of laundry fairies.... I guess that's who gets my odd socks too. I'll have to work on it and maybe that's what I'll ask for my birthday present.

Hi Mindy,
I def. have laundry fairies - they are the ones who steal my favorite socks and put all those little papers and receipts in my pockets so there are little fuzzies all over my clothes. Oh and they turn my clothes pink too

You should think about getting a PDA. I never thought I would say this (because i am completely tech-challenged), but I love mine. Staples had a sweet deal - and still does I think - so I decided I would rather get that than pay for the file cabinets to keep all of my paper calendars organized
Posted By: Mindy Re: New Years Resolutions - 01/20/05 12:50 PM
Yeah, gotta love the fuzzies Raleigh. My boyfriend always leaves tissues in his pockets and sometimes I miss them, so... you know what happens then . I'll have to look for a PDA and see what kind of a deal I can find for them. It's worth a look. I'll let you know how I make out.

Haha, my bf and I had a big talk about the "laundry fuzzies" last night - only I was the one who left the tissues in my pocket and messed up his shirt. Oops! LOL.

If you are thinking about it, you should def. look into getting a PDA. I got the PalmOne Tungsten and so far I am really happy with it. Staples had a rebate and free shipping so it was a pretty sweet deal. I don't know a ton about this stuff, but so far I am very happy with mine.

It's just too easy to miss things when you're doing laundry.. especially if you're like me and are doing a bunch of different things at the same time.

I don't really have the extra money right now to do, after Christmas blues. But I will definitely keep my eyes out for a good deal

Yeah, I am definitely famous for forgetting all kinds of stuff in the laundry. My bf says he makes out pretty well because every time he does the laundry, he usually finds some spare change or a random dollar bill
