The Hollywood Foreign Press has been much maligned this week for failing to nominate any female directors or screenwriters for Golden Globe awards. Today, the American Cinema Editors announced their nominations for the Eddie Awards and there are a number of prominent female editors being recognized for their work. Foremost among them is Thelma Schoonmaker, Martin Scorsese's longtime collaborator and the winner of three Academy Awards. Schoonmaker was nominated in the Best Edited Feature category for "The Irishman". Nominated in the same category is Jennifer Lame for "Marriage Story". Rosanne Tan was nominated in Best Edited Drama Series for Television for "Mr. Robot". Terilyn Shropshire scored a nom for editing Ava DuVernay's miniseries "When They See Us". Winners will be announced on January 17th.
