Hello this is our 4th baby due in 3 weeks & its a girl! We have two older boys and a 1yr old baby girl named Jenivieve Delilah. We call her Jeni for short. We did'nt want to go with a simple name since Jeni's name is unique and we wanted the new name to have a nickname also, and my husband likes Gwen. Now we're having trouble deciding between the two, and yet to find a middle name! Please help with our decision. Any suggestions for middle names also are greatly appreciated! Here are a few I like: Olivia Sophia Karolina Alizabeth Elise Jayda Kira Kali Claire Amelie

Guinevere or Gwendolyn either one are lovely. The only drawback would be that they will most likely be shortened to Gwen. Since that isn't an issue for your and your husband. These two are my pick of all the baby girl names you have on your list.

My next favorite would be Amelie and being southern, I have to make it a doublem name so what do you think about Amelie Claire or Gwendolyn Amelie? They both sound very romantic and appealing to me!

I like Guinevere, though it is a bit of a mouthful and I agree likely to be shortened.

If you're looking for associations - Guinivere maybe didn't have the best of luck in King Arthur's court. A modern (Welsh) Gwen appears in Torchwood.

Kali, the hindu goddess, has some negative associations - death, destruction etc.

Firstly, congrats!

Of those two names, with no other information (surname, brothers' names) I'd cast my vote for Gwendolyn.

Why? Because Guinevere is very similar to Jenivieve (letters, rhythm) and, personally, I prefer that the names of sisters be a bit more differentiated. So I think Gwendolyn would be a better fit.

As far as middles go, my favorites with Gwendolyn are Elise, Claire and Elizabeth (both not Alizabeth--I think that "A" makes the name look silly).
