I'm a newbie here..... - 07/25/03 10:48 AM
hello! I'm a 'newbie' here and first of all I wanted to start off by telling everyone hello!
I have 2 cockateils (father,Charlie and child,Jar-Jar).I was curious as to how you can tell cockateils are male or female? I know that Charlie is male as my uncle had given me him with his mate,Baby.Shortly after Baby's eggs hatched, she suddenly passed away,so we hand raised Jar-Jar from a hatchling, and he/she is now a little over a year old. I keep thinking that Jar-Jar is a female as all of a sudden started acting like a female protecting her nest-it is an ivisible nest LOL <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I have them in separate cages,by the way. We had thought about putting them in together if Jar-Jar was a male, but I don't want to do that if female-for obvious reasons. LOL I apologize if I rambled on too much! Thanks for taking the time to read this, have a great day!
