Admittedly, it wasn't exactly alive, it was in the Natural History Museum. Though that's not absolute proof that it wasn't alive, as I was also in the Natural History Museum. But I rather think the dodo is still there. ;-)

Mona - There has been some evidence that the Dodo does exist in remotes parts of some islands of the East Indies. My son when he was a teenager wrote a report for school about the Dodo. He did find evidence of reported sightings.
