I'd love to hear if you have more ideas on how to get our vintage brooches out of the jewelry box!!

You have pretty brooches! I saw antique roadshow once and a lady there had a full manequin bust just full of them...it was awsome!

Do you collect any??

No, I don't collect them, but always admire them when I see them!

Have you read Madeline Albright's book about her brooches? She has a huge collection and used to wear specific brooches to make subtle (or not so subtle!) comments on what she was involved with during her career. Every page in the book has a photo of a brooch and where she wore it, and why. It's fascinating!

P.S. The name of Madeline Albright's book is "Read My Pins"

how about getting a sachet pillow and pinning it to it to display
pin it to a purse or to a hat or on a jean jacket pocket flap or on a belt

Here are a few other ways to enjoy brooches that I received from a few loyal readers:

Hi,
I just wanted to share a great way to show off your nice rhinestone brooches. I have a vintage jewelry display at the local vendors mall, sometimes I put a multi- colored brooch on the flap or the closure, of a solid color evening bag. Or use a solid red on a silver satin bag, it goes over very well. Have a great day! Jacy

Hi Diane, another use for vintage brooches--on a headband. My niece loves to wear vintage that way; even better if you have matching earrings for a really over the top look.

Also, for those who love to bead; you can make a necklace with two closed loops (one on either end of the beaded necklace) and attach the loops to the back on a vintage brooch for a lovely choker style necklace with lots of pizazz.

Sincerely
Jacqueline Rehmann
