When I was growing up in the 70s, the Oldies were the 1950s and Classic Rock was in the 1960s. Now Oldies are the 50s and 60s while classic rock is the 70s and 80s. Then comes ... I don't know?

What does Classic Rock mean to you? And is it really a term that means anything besides "music before today"? It can be anything at all, sound-wise ...

I think it mostly refers to the 60s-70s

I would say the years before the 90s would be classic rock.

In the United States, the classic rock format features rock music ranging generally from the mid-1960s to the 1980s, primarily focusing on commercially successful blues rock and hard rock popularized in the 1970s AOR format.
