Just when you thought the controversy was over, they did it again...or did they? Martie has been reported as saying the Chicks were leaving country music, Natalie has come out and written a letter saying Martie never said that. What do you think?

O my, this makes me mad!

I love the Chicks' music, but they definitely need an attitude adjustment.

As far as the feud with Toby (i love his music too).... well I think thats all foolishness, on both their parts! They should BOTH realize how ridiculous it makes the industry look when two ADULTS are FIGHTING so petty like that.

Makes me think both their heads are so big they don't care about what anyone thinks of them...which is dangerous when they earn a living by what people think of them!!
The Dixie Chicks need to remember where they come from and who pays thier bills. Those people are the hard-working mostly patriotic type of people on earth---country music fans.

Just as all the women in the band have their right to say what they want about the President, we fans have the right of CHOICE to stop buying their music and thereby not support their opinion.

My fellow servicemembers here at Fort Bragg and around the world put our lives on the line every day and the majority of us fully support President Bush. We are not a bunch of mindless robots and can make our own decisions. Those that are here chose to stay and DO something to help make the world and our country a safer place. For those who doubt our reasons for doing what we're doing--just go to Afghanistan and see the hope among the people. I've been there and seen it myself. Iraq needed our help also.

Anybody want any free Chicks CD's? Mine went into the trash and are somewhere in the landfill.

Give 'em hell Toby!!!!!!!! You da man!!!!!.

Pray for President Bush.

Respectfully,

I do have to say that I am not impressed with the whole Dixie Chicks mess. I watched the interview they did with Diane Sawyer and came away even less impressed. IMO, Natalie basically didn't take responsibility for what she said, something along the lines of everyone made a big deal of nothing. I have all their CD's but have given them to my daughter, she likes them.

I do have to agree, to alienate the core base of your fans is not a good idea. I don't understand what Natalie was thinking or if she even was when she made her comment. I'm from Texas, I listen to country music, but that doesn't make me a blind follower of Bush, nor does it mean that I am ashamed he is from my state. I support the troops whether they are here, Iraq or anywhere they are sent to defend freedom, without them where would we be?

I am keeping my eye out and my ear to the ground to see if there is anything else coming out about this interview with Martie. At this point, you have to start wondering, do the Chicks even want to still have a career? It's seems like things just start to settle down and they stir it right back up again.

Any thoughts?

Yes, definitely...they need an attitude adjustment, although I am not sure it would even help them at this point.

It is a shame too, because they are such talented artists. Too bad they decided to get into politics <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I think it is bad for ANY artist to do that.

Good thing the United States is the land of the free because otherwise these women would of been killed just because one of them dared say something about the president that was not positive but of course after that idiot who caused so much damage that we are still paying for it left it became patriotic to trash the new president crazy!
