The Japanese American Cultural & Community Center is Los Angeles is hosting a screening of Osamu Tezuka's 1964 special, New Treasure Island on August 31, 2012. The screening is part of the center's three-day FilmFest. The special will be shown at 8:00 p.m. on the center's plaza, and admission is free.
In addition, the center will also be screening the "Revenge of Captain Spider" episode of the Gigantor television anime series; this screening will also take place on August 31, 2012.
