Hurricane Irene is taking aim at New York just ahead of the U.S. Open. Organizers of Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, scheduled for Saturday, have cancelled the event to ensure the safety of all involved.

Not sure yet the impact of this storm on qualifying matches, but players are understandably on edge after rolling with an earthquake earlier in the week, and now the hurricane.
