Filmmaker Robert Connolly is enjoying a bit of a renaissance after the success of 2020's "The Dry". He is the executive producer of "Petrol", an atmospheric thriller that will premiere at next month's Locarno International Film Festival. "Petrol" is written and directed by Alena Lodkina. "Blueback", a coming-of-age story with environmental concerns, is written and directed by Connolly. No firm release date but the trailer dropped yesterday. Here is the link - Blueback Official Trailer

Connolly is currently at work filming "Force of Nature", the sequel to "The Dry". The new film again stars Eric Bana as Federal agent Aaron Falk, this time investigating the disappearance of a female informant.
