Well, self-love is good because how can you care for others when you're empty, right?

Yes, people often forget the importance of looking after themselves before, or as well as, trying to help others.

Recovering from knee replacement surgery last Wednesday. This is the 2nd knee but it's still tough.

It has been a difficult year for everyone. I was watching something on some show and they were sharing some video from social media and I am amazed at how frightened people seem to be about getting back into society. For me this has not been difficult as I resented the shut down completely and as I listened to the various "experts" I realized that no one knew anything and it was all a guessing game. I listen to parents talk ab out their children's lives and how disrupted they were. And, as if the virus wasn't enough to frighten everyone, all the other news items added to the distress.

Hi Angie, I know you've had both knees replaced now. How is life with two new knees? Has the surgery helped you to get back to some sort of normality? Joy

Just returned from a mile walk. I can walk. I know I have had surgery but the benefits are great.

My Priorities this year are to clean up my office; be prepared for my lecture and 8 weeks of classes on genealogy but most of all to find some joy during these uncertain times. We have 3 trips coming up this year and the thought of flying with the current conditions is unsettling but hopefully this plague will end and we will return to some sort of normalcy.

Joy, I wish you a very healthy, happy 2022.

Hi Angie, I'm so glad the surgery has done the trick. And those sound like great priorities. All the very best for a 2022 that is much better than you expect! Joy
