Vintage Made New Again

I threw out all my old patterns - some were 40 years old. I still have some of my mother's pattern books from the late 1940s.

Oh my. Old patterns are in demand once again. I too threw out (gave to Goodwill) a lawn and leaf size bag full of patterns, some old, some that just grew out of favor with me. I wish I still had them. Sigh. I have restocked my pattern collection mostly from thrift stores still I wish I had kept the old ones.

Mine included the old simplicity style but I had a lot of stretch and sew patterns. I didn't (and my daughter in law didn't) think they were savable. I have old knitting books from the 1940 which were my mothers.
