Your article is very interesting. The past few years (after my mother in law came to live to us), Christmas sort of became a drag. Before that my mother gave my husband a tee shirt with BahHumbug on it. This year, we were away 21 days in November and then Christmas is in full swing. This year has been a very melancholy year for me. Hopefully I will talk myself out of the doldrums. I have enjoyed the festivities with my friends but the preparations has not been fun.

Hi Angie, so sorry to hear that your year has been so awful. Regarding XMas preparations and chores in general, there are many ways to make them more bearable. I do hope the following two articles help in some little way:

I'll check them out. My mother in law is in assisted living at the moment but that is not easy either. My daughter and son in law are coming in tomorrow from out of town, hopefully, that will help.

Hi Angie, wishing you a peaceful XMas. I'm pretty sure that 2020 will bring you some unexpected happiness. Joy
