Hello everyone,

Are you afraid of speaking in public? Even seasoned speakers experience some fear of this. However, the fear may be so great that you cannot bring yourself to talk to a small group yet alone a large audience. The following self development tips may help to reduce your fear of speaking in public. See:

Reduce Your Fear of Speaking in Public

What tips do you find work well for you?

Warm wishes
Joy

The first time I had to give a presentation I began to hyperventilate and nearly fainted. I gave the presentation sitting down and swore I would not over react like that again! I've given lots of presentations since then.

Hi Angie, how awful to nearly faint. It's funny how the human body tries to cut itself off from scary situations. Have a lovely Christmas, Joy

Dear Joy,

I've never had trouble speaking unless I was ill-prepared. If I didn't know what I was talking about, then I was misspeaking and word fumbling.
I actually wish I spoke more in front of people.

Hi Mary, why don't you do talks on 'tea'? There are many organisations and societies that would love a presentation on the subject! Joy

Hi Angie, 'tea' is a huge subject and something that everyone has some association with, especially from a health perspective. I think Mary would be much sought after for her 'tea talks'! Joy
