Please let me know if the knitting column is intended for experienced knitters. I enjoy reading it, but suspect that it may be the wrong place for me right now. My skills put me somewhere in the beginner pool. For example, I want to attempt a hat, but because the instructions for Double Stranded Hat do not include needle size (or did I miss it?) or whether the instructions require double-pointed needles all the way or just to shape the crown; the mention of dividing the stitches into groups made me wonder about double-pointed.. A photo of a finished hat would be helpful, too. If these things are posted elsewhere, I'd appreciate directions to them. Thank you.
