An amazing documentary premiered on PBS last night. Directed by Erin Heidenreich, "The War to Be Her" follows a young woman and her family in Waziristan, an area of Pakistan that is a Taliban stronghold. Maria is a champion athlete, but her family is faces constant death threats because they refuse to abide by the Taliban's version of Islam. The film is streaming online until August 21st.
