Aw Dianne, my eyes are doing that bi-focal thing. A couple of years ago my eye doctor said "would you like bi-focals this time. I wanted to smack him. Indignant - "No thank you, I do NOT need bi-focals."
Five minutes later, I needed them :::Sigh:::
Texting is okay most of the time. Sometimes though, I'm just guessing LOL! Luckily my phone screen can be enlarged HA HA.

lol...Deanna you are too funny.
A couple of years ago - I "splurged" and bought progressives. They didn't want to prescribe bi-focals or progressives. They wanted me to wear my contacts with a pair of the magnifying glasses. I insisted on the progressives. But after a few months, the progressives were so scratched up - plus I still had to take them off to see close.
This time when I went and the doctor said that the part of the progressives that helped me was so small, there was no point in getting bi-focals or progressives. AGAIN with the contacts and magnifiers. I went with what they said this time, but I literally can not see a THING close up.

Do they realize you can't see? This doesn't sound right. I'd get another opinion.

This is actually 2 different eye doctors!!! They have this thing against putting people in bifocals "before their time". If not in my late 40's then when...lol...

Email all the way. The only other thing I have tried is the messenger thing or whatever it was called from Yahoo, I hated it, it felt like I was spied on everytime I was online so after a while I got rid of it.
