I'm so excited about the three day weekend. It's funny though... During the school year, my alarm is set for 6 am, though I usually wake up at 5:58. On weekends it seems like my internal alarm clock takes over and I still manage to wake up at 5:58 without the alarm going off. One day I'm going to experiment during the week and not set my clock to see I still get up on week days.
Do you have an internal alarm clock on your days off?

Since last Autumn I have been going to bed very late and always at different times so I wake up at different times. Except for when I have to those times are never before noon. I lost my job in 2009, as far as I can see going to bed and getting up when you want to is the only good thing about being jobless.
I only had an internal clock when Michael Schumacher was in Formula One, I alwauys woke up minutes before the alarm clock went on when a weekend had a Grand Prix.

Loong - You truly sound like a "morning person"
Nancy - True definitely one good thing is the sleep flexibility!

I use to wake up at 5.30 during during my school days. Wish to be a good daughter at morning times. I can't ask my dad to be my mother. :) I want to help him to grow me and my brother.

Anna, thanks so much for sharing. 5:30 is early, but necessary during school. Hopefully you were able to sleep a little later during the breaks.

When I had to commute to work I was up by 5:30 to get ready and spent an hour driving each way (normally during nonrush hour time it's 20-30 minutes!). Now that I work from a home office I get to wake up at 8.

When I do finally get a job or go back to school the days off and weekends I will still wake up early so that I have zero problem getting up early when it's back to work or school. For weeks off I would start getting to bed and up at whatever time Saturday then the Saturday before going back it would be early times again. I did not do that when I went to school and was working so that meant I was often tired.

Usually I wake up at 6:40 am - I think it is years of habit!
