Warner Bros. Studios is adapting another one of its classic films for the stage. They have hired Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis to write a play based on the 1975 film, "Dog Day Afternoon", which starred Al Pacino and John Cazale. (Remember the famous "Attica" scene?) The Warner Bros. film "Misery" was also adapted for the theater, with Bruce Willis and Laurie Metcalf playing the roles made famous by James Caan and Kathy Bates.
