A word of advice (well, four words): Don't take up driving. See what this car looks like? Well, it got that way because the woman who was backing the car out suddenly realized there was a spider on her shoulder. She panicked and leapt out of the car. In fact, leaving her son inside. (There's no picture of the spider, just the car.)

Mona,

I know how to drive and have not driven in a few years but I am about to start again.

Almost everyone I know has had at least one experience with spiders in their car but me none so far thankfully. I hope if one day it happens I will have the sense to not panic like that woman did. Was her son okay? If it is a tarantula then I know I won't be able to control myself. The way I react always depends on how big it is and how far it is from me and where it happens. This is why I cannot do yard work when it is not Winter, I could be on a ladder or using something dangerous and then completely freak out.

Oh wow and now I have something else to be stressed about when driving (i know it was not your intention smile i keep going back to Live Leak and there theres a lot of video about driving that makes me more nervous about driving - in fact im going there right after this post grin haha)!

Nancy, apparently the 9-year-old son tried, unsuccessfully, to get control of the car. He received minor injuries. I don't think the spider can have been a tarantula - I mean, it's not as though those babies can sneak up on ya.

About driving - even without spiders - I haven't driven in years. I can deal with spiders better than big city traffic. And when I'm in Wales, I have someone who drives. Mostly, I walk places. It's good exercise and I don't have to find a parking place!

Mona,

Nine years old, wow, poor kid must of been terrified!

I love to run my errands by walking. I love to walk anywhere, anytime for any reason. I used to complain about taking the bus and subway but less than a month after moving where there's no public transportation I started to miss it. Here I do not have a choice to drive again. I always have to wait for dad to be available which he is but he does not want to often or does it with an attitude. Both of them knows I am about to drive again and they see I am serious about it and they are angry about that because it means I will get some freedom back.

Found a big spider near the stairs downstairs! I saw it about one or two minutes I had passed right next to it in the dark without knowing it, for some reason I opened the light before coming back down and I saw it when there were two or three steps to go and I backed while freaking out and almost fell! Screamed for mom and she got it with the cheap windex and tissues! I did not even had socks on! I hate it when I pass by one without knowing it cry!

There was one in the right corner near the door of the room I sleep in, I saw it when I was going to bed and it was after I had passed it when I opened the light in the room eek I sprayed it with the cheap Windex before crushing it with the Swiffer mop because of the place it was plus that part of the ceiling right in front of the room it's just a big curtain so no ceiling so I do not stay there too long in case a spider drops on my head!

Just caught a baby at the steps of the stairs in the basement, the irony is that it had made a web next to a bottle of spider poison!

Just had to deal with a spider on the wall near the oil stove, that one was small but hard to kill!
