Jana,

I forgot to ask yesterday what are water bugs? Are they big. We probably have them here too.

Hey Nancy...I call them cockroaches, my mom calls them water bugs. They come in after the rains. They are big and ugly...

Jana,

It has been years since I've seen a cockroach.

Since I am here I will tell about the spiders of today! Mom has been washing the windows and walls lately and today it was the turn of my entertainment room (the people who lived here must of never cleaned inside the house - yikes i just got flashbacks of the shower sick). She got two in the window and one baby in the closet.

Nancy,

Lucky you, not seeing a cockroach in years.. I'm going to have to break it to my mom I was right smile. It's a cockroach. A water bug actually lives on the water and has special legs for it. (I had to look it up). Either way, I don't like them at all. Not fond of spiders either.

With the few hot days we had this past week, my spider count is definitely up...and somehow I always find them on my white ceiling!

I've been concerned to be reading about exploding yellow spiders found "all across Britain." I haven't seen any. But I finally had time to read an article properly and they aren't like suicide bombers. Apparently these are all baby spiders and when they're small they're all clumped together. But if disturbed they go shooting off in all directions, looking rather like an explosion. Those that survive grow up to be ordinary garden spiders and eat lots of insects. Good for them.
