For a rare time in her life my mom stood up to my dad. They were outside working on the yard. Two days ago we went in Rimouski and they bought a grass trimmer that is powered by gas, it is too big for my mom and dad bought it saying that he would use it. So they went outside before noon (mom first) and she used our electric grass trimmer and she let dad use the new one. He was complaining when he was trying to put it together and he thought he had it but turns out he put it backyard so he asked mom to do it and she said no that she could not use it and that he had bought it for him so it was up to him to figure it out. Before that she was keeping it steady when he was putting gas in it and he was complaining trying to get her to do it and she said no and a few other things. She came in about an half hour ago and he is still outside working. The only yard work he has ever done in his life is lawnmoyer, leave raking and shoveling snow. He hates being wrong and having to do things by himself. He also wanted this house because of the huge yard.

Mom was saying a while after getting back inside that he could be surprised and end up with a divorce soon, she started saying that about a year after we moved from Saint-Hubert to Ste-Florence so in 2010, of course it is never to my dad's face. I always find these speeches funny.

Just for the fun of it I sent an email to a company that does yard work and also provide grass cutting a few minutes ago, they do free estimations. Maybe these things does not cost a lot even with big yards. I do know that even if they would do it for less than 10$ they would say that it is too much, mom because she really would think that and dad because for him it would be looking like a fool.

Mom has said many times these past months that she wants to sell the house. Must be because she knows I fell in love with it when we first saw it. They were like this is so cool for our daughter that she will have a fully paid house without any need for renovations and now it is we have to get out of here (dad too is whining about this place - i know soon it will be more than just having a lot of work to do outside).

Since we got the money for the lost house we have been debt free. The house was paid cash and besides painting, changing some floors, getting rid of the oil oven for a wood oven and maybe build a second bathroom (it would be where i have been sleeping since the first night) there is no work to be done on it. Normally that is the dream of many people and the people who are in this situation are happy but not them, it is like they are going crazier because of this. They are trying to find ways out of this. Mom yesterday said that we need to get a new roof eventhough that roof has no problem and looks great.

Mom has been complaining a lot lately about her health issues. I cannot wait when we get our next big insurance check to hear her excuse that she still has not enough money to go see a specialist in Montreal to finally know what is going on with her. I am betting it is not what they say she has (severe gastroparesis). Plus she often takes blood tests and everytime it comes back saying that everything is normal; how is that normal for someone who has not been eating a lot for more than two years? This is crazy!

40 buttons sounds like almost a whole computer! My grandmother used to do that until one day she was trying like crazy and I just stared at her. She kept yelling but she became very unnerved by it. Try it -- don't talk -- just stare them straight in the eye until they break eye contact.

I went outside a few minutes this afternoon and ended up walking around with my mom. She whined about one of the house we visited and said that she would of preferred that one instead (of course she never said it when we visited it and after since dad her master said he hated it) when we were near the beach. Then in the house she made threats about moving soon or them (my parents) dying over this house. Oh and outside I mentioned the companies who cuts the grass and she said no way it's too much costly and I said maybe not and anyway if the insurance gives us a lot of money there will be no problem putting some aside for years of getting the yard work done and she said again that it was not possible (i will get some here to do free estimations - theres no way that it costs more than 100$ even with a big yard like ours - then ill sit down and watch the new excuses both of them comes up with).

Daisy,

Sometimes I am able to completely ignore them and when they realise that they are so angry.

The last time I was able to do that was a few weeks ago with my dad. I was doing something in the kitchen and he made a sarcastic remark about the Dallas Stars (that was when his team Montreal were still in the playoffs - karma got him not too long after smile haha) and he saw me smirk and not caring at all about it and he was furious (not yelling like his usual when he is angry but still furious). Normally when it has to do with my idols I lose it but when it is done on purpose I never lose it.

I cannot do the stare down with them because they make me so nervous. It is all the years (more than 38) of stress. Even when they are both happy and we are all having a great time I am nervous because they can turn in less than a second in any negative ways there are. I am happy that it worked with you smile.

I would really hate to live with your parents. They just seem so bitter and needy. Do they ever laugh and have any kind of fun around you or with you? You might ask them why that is.

Daisy,

We used to sometimes have fun. More so with mom who is more opened whether it is just about things (like history or any other subjects) or movies or music or whatever else like that but dad too sometimes. It all stopped in 2010 when it was less than one year after we had moved to Ste-Florence. Then they started stealing from me then it was trying to ruin my credit and then pushing my buttons to make me crazy.

They basically are evil and selfish. I spent about one year before I turned twenty years old in the house without going out once and all I did then was sleep, watch television and cry. None of them cared during that time. They did not even asked what was wrong.

The same when they learned I was being bullied they blamed me.

They used to have small positives and it all disappeared in 2010.

Like my dad before he used to care about what others thought of him so he never treated us badly or did any of his freak outs where people were or could hear but then about two years ago he just decided he did not care about that anymore and he started enjoying treating us like garbage even with people around.
