Today I will write another picture book -- a good first draft I should say. This is the last day of National Picture Book Writing Week where we write a picture book a day for 7 days. Not only have I kept up this frantic pace but I also worked on an outline for a middle grade novel that has been rolling around in my head for a few months.
Have also been cleaning the house and doing laundry.

What a blessing to have an imagination and then be able to put it down on paper!

I'll wait for more thunderstorms and write some more on my second novel. Rainy days and stormy nights really get my creative juices flowing.

Yesterday I went to bed at 21:27 and got up at 6:18. I watched Rafael Nadal at the Mutua Madrid Open (internet), took a walk, Before Your Vows Divorce Court at 13:00, Divorce Court at 13:30, the April 30 episode of The Daily Show on the internet, Judge Judy at 16:00 and Dr Phil at 18:00. It was an average night and a very bad day.

Yesterday I did a lot of research online, which was rather laborious because the wifi was very slow. And I had a nice walk around Lisbon. Pretty city. The sailing wasn't as smooth when we left Lisbon as it had been, as we were then in the Atlantic, but it hasn't been very rough. I slept well last night and didn't get up at all.

Yesterday I watched the rain and storms move through and outlined a few more articles and chapter 9 of my second novel. Going to try to kick all of those out in the next few days.

I went to bed late and got up early to help a friend take her cat to the vet. Fortunately, it wasn't anything serious. Next up, taking mom to the doctor. I'm worn out.
