Heading into my 10pm meditation - and I have tadpoles!! Thank you Tina smile. And of course thank you Bob who carefully drove them home to me. Have you guys ever raised tadpoles?

Yes, Yes, YES! Lisa!

Growing up in England my grandmother who lived on the grounds of the Girls Grammar School where she worked as the Executive Chef, we were privy to be able to collect frog spawn from the pond on the grounds. My sister and I raised so many taddies into beautiful handsome frogs, you wouldn't believe. Once they matured, we transported them back to the school pond.

Those were awesome memories. We got to watch them grow their legs and observe them sit on the big pebbles we had collected from the beach when they were able and strong enough to do so, basking in the sunshine in our back yard. We reconstructed their habitat and they thrived...

I have to say something. I shop at an Asian fish market often where they sell practically anything fishy but also turtles and frogs - they sell these frogs from a large bucket all crowded in on top of each other..it's kinda sad. I told my husband they were so beautiful I wanted to buy one. He said, "let me guess, you wanted to save it and have another pet, right?" I just laughed. They were cute.

It goes make one consider being vegetarian, the more one grows to love these types of creatures. For now, I do my best to ensure at least the creature had a decent life.

Our tadpoles are enjoying their new home, especially the rock. They wriggle up to rest on it. They like romaine lettuce smile. We're still not sure what type of frog they'll grow into. I guess that's part of the fun! No legs yet.

So tiny smile

They look like they have longish tails - their leg bumps should be showing soon.

Here's a video of my cute little tadpoles. You can see the tiny back legs emerging on a few of the larger ones -

Bob's been worried about the two tiny tadpoles getting eaten so he made a "nursery" for them to be safer in smile.
