I bought some one dollar paperbacks at the library bookstore today - a bunch of the Pern stories from the Dragonriders series. I can't wait to read them all again. smile

They have the original artworks and look so pretty on my shelf.

I just bought a polyvinyl envelope to hold receipts in my purse - .74 cents with tax.

Today I spent 47,38$ at Familiprix in Causapscal (4,99$ for a 2/1 shampoo 3,99$ [2 times] for q-tips 1,59$ for a lypsyl 4,79$ [2 times] for toothpaste 8,29$ [2 times] for face wash and 0,49$ for gum........i only technically needed the face wash [have some until tuesday] and after deciding to buy 2 to have more in advance i figured to buy other things i use everyday to have more in advance [every things had at least 1 in advance] the gum i took because i was hungry and anyway i hadnt had that brand in a few years + the things in advance were all on sale...saw that when i went to get them after deciding to do that so that was a nice idea!!).

Went to Vista farmers' market and found that Baja Animal Rescue had a stall (we adopted our cat from them), so spent $8 on some toys for both cat and dog - they're happy!

I spent another $5 on flowers, and husband spent $8 on two packs of Medjool dates.

Today was a nothing spent day, and so was yesterday. But on my birthday, I bought some beers and wine.

Paula's Choice is having a sale, and i will probably pick up some toiletries there this weekend.

I don't think I will spend money today, but I did yesterday.

I bought a tank of gas ($3.43 gallon).

Went to goodwill and got a pillowcase, pretty throw pillow and a tote bag.

I also went to the Dollar Tree and got some office supplies, a little gift for dan, a pair of cute socks, two eye colors, a perfume, and some bath mats for the floor in the RV. The office supplies made me the happiest: I find organizing supplies soothing.

It was a big spending day for me, but I was doing a little 'shop therapy', since I got some rather bad news that will be a big hassle to deal with. Which I do not recommend as a rule, the shop therapy. But it was better than the anxiety attack that preceded the shopping...

I add this info here to let people know that YES. These things happen, even in our best attempts at living frugal lives.

thanks, Angie. I got some good sleep, and talked over the issues with Dan, and we agree that, while this is unfortunate, it's not the end of the world. We can work around it.

What did you spend money on?
