Happy Birthday to actress Debbie Reynolds, born on 1 April 1932 in El Paso, Texas.

It wasn't easy to find a mystery movie featuring Debbie Reynolds, but she made two that can qualify: a Perry Mason TV movie, The Case of the Musical Murder and a mystery horror What's the Matter With Helen?

One of these will appear on the Mystery Movies site a little later today. Which one? It's a mystery!

Debbie Reynolds is so well known as a dancer. The dance routines she performed in What's the Matter with Helen? , although they didn't add anything to the plot, were certainly impressive.

So it was interesting to find out that she didn't train as a dancer until she had already been cast opposite Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain.

Obviously, she was a quick learner!
