I've finished scanning oodles of my great-grandmother's letters in. Fascinating stuff in these. Some are from the civil rights era and talk about what was going on in Tennessee. Others provide memories of Civil War details handed down from her older relatives. She witnessed an attempted lynching when she was young.

What a treasure you have. It is fascinating to get a glimpse into the past through letters. We don't write letters or save them; however, we do blog but is that revealing enough to save for the future? I'm enjoying the letters my father wrote to my mother and the one from my uncle who was stationed in Burma.
