OK now I'm having sugar-free ice cream as I prepare to finally head to sleep. I've been up for 24 hours now.

Hey Lisa-
Sorry you've been eating alone on the log thus far this year. Sounds yummy though.
I like that Bob understands what/how you eat & buys or prepares the healthy stuff. When my husband cooks for me it's usually deep fried (because I refuse to deep fry even when I crave a treat like that & I prefer to know what's going in it so I don't send out for it either). LOL
I'm in the throws of a detox right now so, I'm having my morning green juice, still. I drag it out like an amazing bottle of red wine.
When I am done with this I will be slowly sipping a homemade veggie broth throughout the day.
If I am hungry at bedtime, I will post my salad for the day.

That sounds great, Yvonnie! I did a week long smoothie / juice fast a while back and it was delicious. OK let's see what I've had today. I began with my EAS protein shake. Then there were hot dogs in crescent rolls, then Chinese take-out, then ice cream and cake. I'm not doing very well. This is what happens when my son visits. That's ok . How are you all doing?

So far today I've had my protein shake, a salad, and a grilled cheese sandwich on low carb bread. How are you guys doing?

So far today I've had my EAS protein shake, a snack of veggies and celery, and that's it - and I woke up at 6am. No wonder I'm starving! What should I have? What are you guys having?

We ended up going to Red Robin for dinner and I had a hamburger without the bun, a salad, and zucchini sticks where I peeled off the breading. So fairly low carb. Bob had ensenada chicken which is also a good choice.

A lovely morning yoga session, and now I'm having my EAS protein shake plus various chewy vitamins. How is your day going?

I'm so glad I'm joining this thread--now as opposed to last week! heh!
Today so far, I've restarted my new favorite regimen:
Breakfast: 1 whole grain toast with cream cheese, 14 red grapes, coffee with cream
Snack: coffee (out of nuts and cheese!)
Lunch: homemade vegetable soup, red grapes, fish sticks (drats)
Snack: more coffee (Deepak Chopra and Dr. Oz both encourage lots of coffee for brain health! I'm concerned because I am hypersensitive to caffeine.) And another cup of homemade vegetable soup (made with vegetable broth).
Dinner: I plan to have miso soup with seaweed and tofu, fresh cucumbers with homemade miso-lemon dressing, 1/2 fresh mango
Snack/dessert: celery with peanut butter

Lori -
That is great - it sounds like you are doing quite well!
I would advise avoiding caffeine. You could try decaffeinated coffee, which has a small amount of caffeine in it.
I think you mean Sanjiv Chopra, not Deepak Chopra? Sanjiv Chopra is a liver doctor who promotes coffee drinking. Also, a "cup" is 8oz with 100mg caffeine in these studies which is far less than most people drink. And it's black coffee. And it's only for people without blood sugar issues.
