1. To expand your hobby to a part or full time business. Can you make art to give away to friends and family but are afraid to start selling it to strangers? A Creativity Coach can help you overcome your fears and make your dream of a home based business real.
2. To explore your communication skills. A Creativity Coach can help you research and develop new ways to market your art and/or services and help you find new markets you may not even of thought of.
3. To achieve your artistic goals. Do you set goals but almost never complete them? A coach can help you formulate specific, reachable goals and help you complete them.
4. To explore ALL aspects of your creativity. Are you unsure if youre creative? Creativity coaching can help you discover the truth about your creativity.
5. To balance your creativity and the rest of your life. Do you feel unbalanced? Like you either are too creative and let other things in your life slide or you dont do enough creative things? A coach can help you find that fine balance and help you maintain it.
6. To discover professional organizations and other networking outlets. Do you want to connect with other artists like you and get the word out about your new business? A creativity coach can help you increase your business skills.
7. To create concrete plans for your artistic business. A coach can help you with your business plan and/or just help you sort out exactly what kind of business you want and make a solid plan of action.
8. Develop your artistic confidence. A Creativity Coach will get you to stop procrastinating and give you back control over your calendar. Confidence in yourself and your work will increase.

I like this list!

It provides a guideline for how you can transform your art into a business yourself if you’re the independent type. It’s like a to-do list for what needs to be done. You need to address your fears, network with other artists, create a business plan etc.

And if you decide you would like the support of a coach, this list gives you an idea of what your coach can do for you.
