Oooh, a private island sounds delightful. I love nature and vegetable gardening. This sounds like a very tranquil and serene way to use money. I think, though, that I would miss having at least a few close family and friends with me. I would love the animal companionship.

Would any of you choose to devote the money to charity? Or you time since you probably wouldn't have to work?

What charity or causes would you support?

I would give lots of money and time mostly to animals and the environment. I would also adopt unwanted or/and abused animals and not destroy the island or big land I would buy.

And until about 2008 I never thought that we could actually rent or buy private islands, I discovered a website who do that and since then I have been dreaming about having my own island.

I, too, love animals and I think you show your kindness and compassion in your desire to help them and the environment. There are many animals out there who need a good loving home and I hope more people have a desire to help them.

I never knew one could rent or buy their own private island. That opens my imagination to lots of tropical paradises.

The website for renting and buying private islands is called Private Islands Online, just put these words together (www and .com -- i dont know if i am now able to post link or still cant), just a bit of warning though, you'll spend lots of time there and end up fantasizing about having one of your own! Some of them are actually less than what a house cost and some even have a house on them.

Wow! There are some beautiful islands. I really like the ones in Canada although I wonder if they will be too cold in the winter. I always image an island feeling tropical.
