At night it was windy.
When I went to bed it was windy.
When I got up it was sunny and windy.

Sunny and clear, but uncomfortably hot. Not heatwave-in the 90s-we're-going-to-die hot, but still too hot for comfort. Unless you were at the beach, which lots of people were. The water is quite cold. I went for my walk about 9.15 this evening, and it was just nice. Full Moon. And I spotted Jupiter and Venus on my way home an hour or so later. It still wasn't dark enough to see any stars.

Dear Mona,
We've had the wettest summer so far in 100's of years, it has been exasperatingly hot and now today, for example, rainy morning, very cool warm sunfilled afternoon, then raining evening with tornadic activity and now quiet but cool!! So weird.

cooler this morning; overcast. I wonder if the ash from Kilauea volcano has anything to do with the weather? They have had a number of earthquakes too.

You must be getting our summer rain. The heatwave and clear skies continue. I have to travel to London tomorrow - I DO hope the air conditioning on the train works, or I'll arrive a sodden wreck - where it'll be even hotter.

Morning from Central muggy Virginia. I read a headline this morning that we've had a lot of rain in June but not the severe weather that usually crops up in June. I've seen some videos of cities that have been flooded. Those cities have seen their share of severe rainy weather. Some places have had seven inches in an hour.
