Fair enough. There are a lot of things people like eating that I would never touch, so I guess it is all up to an individual's taste buds, which do indeed vary among people.

So with that said.....where's the bacon?

Bacon's in the oven getting crispy. Look for it on the Back Porch.

Great, Connie. I am heading over there right now. A few slices would go down real easy.

Our absolute favorite bacon sandwich is a bacon, cream cheese and jalapeno pepper jelly sandwich. It is out of this world! You can use them on toast points for an appetizer that men especially love. That sounds sexist but it seems to be that whenever I make these, the men in the room go nuts over them. Usually, the guys don't express such emotion over food.

That sounds just wonderful!

I found a new sauce product. It is pineapple and habanero. I'll bet it would be great with cream cheese and bacon.

I am looking forward to fresh tomatoes with lettuce on sourdough bread. I want some crispy bacon with that. Just in case the bacon doesn't have enough fat, I am going to slather mayonnaise all over the bread. With a cold glass of milk, it is heaven on a plate.

BLT's are simple and yet so delicious. I might just have to go out and buy some bacon soon. It has been a while since I've eaten bacon, and a BLT sounds lovely right about now.....

Has anybody had the first BLT of the summer season? What ingredients did you use? Which brand of bacon? What type of bread? Did you find your tomatoes at a farmers' market?
