Compassion is feeling what needs to be done, and acting on it with kindness. Meditate to Develop Compassion and KindnessI've heard it takes less muscles to smile than frown - and kindness includes a smile, don't you think?

I think we grow in consciousness through extending ourselves in kindness and compassion. What do you think?

I feel that as we bear each other’s burdens, we are given more light and strength to reach out. If it is done in a private matter without fanfare, I think we grow more. (I'm referring to the wealthy movie stars who make a show of their help). Money is extremely helpful, but the intent of the heart trumps that. We subsist month to month, but our intent to bear the burdens of others actually pays off because the little independent business keeps chugging along almost miraculously.
