Who doesn’t love bacon? Well, other than doctors and all of those people who are worried about saturated fats. Oh, and vegetarians, too! If you love the taste of bacon, but you have a vegetarian lifestyle, try the Morningstar Farms Veggie Bacon Strips. They are crunchy, tasty, and contain no meat.

I know a lot of people who just drool over a crispy piece of bacon. Here are bacon cooking methods and Bacon Sandwich Ideas.

Great ideas, Connie. Thank you! I like bacon but don't buy it very often because I need to watch my saturated fats per doctor's orders. I would say I have it once every three or four months.

I usually cook my bacon in the microwave. I only had a problem with it once when I just visited my mother. I took the bacon out of the microwave to find that the paper towels were sticking to the bacon. I was able to dislodge most of the toweling, but some remained stuck and I had to throw bits of bacon away. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the bacon was extra lean and so there was not enough fat to keep the paper towels from sticking.

Did you think the bacon sandwiches sounded yummy? I love the one with avocado.

I like the brand of vegetarian bacon you use, in case others are interested - also like their grillers.

Susan, love those grillers! I also love their faux sausage patties. I used to buy them in bulk at Costco. Then, our kids discovered them and will eat them in preference to almost anything else. They eat three or four at a time! EACH! So, we only buy them on special occasions. I enjoy the Morningstar Farms brand. The fake chicken patties are great sandwiches.

I like the typical bacon, egg, and cheese on toast, english muffin, bagel, or french roll.

Also I enjoy grilled cheese with bacon on rye bread. Sometimes I add sliced tomato to this sandwich as well.

Debbie, everything you write about on Sandwiches sounds yummy! Well, maybe not the Spam, but everything else!

LOL.....Spam is definitely an acquired taste, but surprisingly a lot of people like it. If it was diced up in scrambled eggs I bet you'd never know it was not ham, which is all it really is anyway. Almost a deviled ham.

I love my bacon, but I don't buy it too much. I have to watch the saturated fats. I don't care to dabble in the lower fat substitutes. When I have my bacon it will be the real thing and I will enjoy it. Everything in moderation....

Debbie, my mom once diced up a spam like meat into spaghetti sauce and the school chopped it and cooked it into a dish when I was in high school. Believe me, I can tell!

The only way that I like spam is in a Monty Python song. That leaves more for you and Lori.
