Tell Granpappy that I'll be by. I love a good brined turkey. Is he going to use any fruit juice, or just salt?

Yeah, something like that.

I am having a heck of a time getting Granpappy to wait before he starts the brine and plops the turkey in there.... the bird ain't even completely thawed out yet.

Gotta bake pies and breads all day Wednesday.

Maybe I can get him to lubricate the porch swing, so it don't squeak when rocked. Lately due to the abundant use it's getting, it almost sounds like the beams are about to give out.

Granpappy just loves having something to do with his idle time...

Phyllis.....you can count on me to help with the baking. I will ride my horse over there in a little bit so we can get right to it. We'll have those pies and breads done up in no time. Granpappy will be pleased with our efforts.....

Beetle.....good idea to keep Granpappy busy with some much needed maintenence around the cabin. It's not good to let him get bored.....

hmmm.... might let him take a spill at the potter's wheel with some clay (I'll just tell him it's mud!)
