My husband and I saw Taken 2 last night at the Movie Tavern. Although I think that Liam Neeson is a GREAT actor and I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st Taken movie, I was slightly disappointed with Taken 2. There was not as much action as the 1st movie. Also, I thought they did a bit much with having the daughter involved in so many of the action scenes. It just didn't seem as believble.

Has anyone else see Taken or Taken 2?

Hey, Maria! I totally agree. My husband and I are huge Liam Neeson fans but left this movie disappointed. Seemed too contrived. {shrug}

Yea...I felt like they were pushing to make the storyline this time. It was a good premise...revenge but the rest felt out of sync.

Hope to see this when it comes out here. I did think that at the end of the first film the Liam Neeson character would have a LOT of explaining to do! smile

He has a LOT of explaining to do with this second film!!! For one thing, after such a traumatic experience in the first movie, it is entirely unbelievable that his daughter would go traipsing off to another foreign country again. I'd think she would need intense counseling and be fearful of leaving the US!

But then again, we always need to look for plausibility, don't we? LOL. I remember my geeky friends and I would sit around pointing out all the impossibilities of Star Trek! LOL. It's Star Trek, for heaven's sake.

LOL Lori...I agree! She was wayyyyy to eager to jump in and help save the day considering she was fresh off of being kidnapped and sold as a sex slave!

I think they also purposely ended part 2 in such a way to leave room for part 3 when the sons come to avenge the dad.
